PRESENTATION TO MR T. MACKENZIE.

DUNEDIN, December 20. There was a large and gathering at Palraerston, last night, when Mr T. Mackenzie, M.H.K., was presented with an illuminated address, and a gold watch and chain. Mrs Mackenzie and daughter were, presented with articles of jewellery*. Mr MoNab, representing, the, Ministry, made a eulogistio spoeoh. Speeches were also mads by Messre., Duncan, D. Keid and J. Alien. Mr Mackenzie condemned the vexatious frequent alteration in the. electoral boundaries. The efTeot was, to pit experienced Parliamentarians, against each other. The House must interfere and pnt a stop to. such a condition of affairs.
