By Telegraph—Press Association.
WELLINGTON, Deo. 20,
The inquiry into the death of Mrs Kensington, who was killed on Monday by being run down by a fire brigade motor engine, wbb continued to-day. The greater pare of the evidence was with regard to the pace at which the oar travelled along Lambtoo Qaay, and turned into Bowea Sfcreei, on the day of the aociclent. The drivel (Spry) took the oar over tbe ground afterwards, and said he bad gone at about the same rate as on Monday. This was denied by some of the witnesses, who said that the paoe on Monday had been greater. Some of them contended that Che oat travelled at between 15 and 20 miles an hour, and had turned tbe oorner a 1: an unsafe speed, it; seemed to be established that Mrs Kensington and her daughters did not see tbe motor until it was praotioally on top of tnem. The inquiry was adjourned until next day, tbe Coroner in the meantime to take the evidence of Miss, Louisa Kensington, who had a leg fraotured in the accident.
