By Telegraph—Press Association. PALMERSTON N., Deo. 18. A matter of importance to Agricultural Bnd Pastoral Associations was disouesed at tho meeting of the Manawatu A. and P. Committee today. Tbe rates of the Association amount to abuut £2OO annually, and a proposition came forward thai; the Government should be approached with a view of having A. and P Associations throughout the colony exempted from paying rates, To this end it was determined to communicate with all the A. and P. Societies in the colony, and endeavour to have united representations made to the Minister tor Agrioulture.
