The Christmas season is close at band, and local business people are busily engaged in making preparations for it. A firm that is showing a considerable amount of enterprise in the matter i 8 that of Messrs John Graham and Co.,' who hope to make this season a record one throughout. I lie Fancy Department upstairs, is replete with a most unique ES3ortment of goods, anoh as the well-known Foley china (plain and iridescent), Beeleek and Wedgewood ware, fancy glass, china ornaments, Japanese flower pots nrirt vases, all of which are displayed to view with great taste. A special place has been set aside for the display of children's toys, of which there are endless variety. Wooden toys are a specialty of tho department, the shelves being very well Blocked with miniature oaite, drays, motor cars, and timber waggons. The windows are all attractively "dressed," one of tbeai teing devoted exclusively to the display of delioate china tea sets, Burleigh ware in new designs, and various kinds of toilet sets. In the Grocery Department, fruits, confectionery, and other delicacies all by the best makers, are on viow. The Drapery Department is also replete with all the latest and most fashionable lines. The Arm are making a special display of the Bonita sewing maobines, whioh they guarantee for ten years, as well as a line of bedsteads, whioh have just arrived from Uoiub.
