STOCK SALES KEPOKT. Messrs Dulgety and Co., Ltd., held their fornightly sale at the Eketahxna yards, on Friday, when there was a large entry of cattle, but only one line of sheep. Ihe latter comprisen fat and forward ewes, which sold at 13s 6d. In cat'le there was good competition for young eteers and all lots offered were cleared under the hammer. About one hundred bullocks failed to reach reserves at auction, but were lmmed»ntely sold privately. Praoli:ally the wholo of the oattle were cleared, excepting daiiy stock, and there was very little demand for these. Three and 4 year bul locks reaohed 102s "6d, 3 year bul looks 85s, yearling and 18 months steers 41s to 465, yearling,, heifers 28a to 30s, yearliDg steers' 30s 6d to 375, 2 year steers 57s Gd, 18 mouths heifers 355, fat cows (good) 100.?, forward cows 63s to 70s, heifers in full profit 80.', bull 20s to 255.

Cows and heifers proved very hard to quit. At Eketahuna wn had several entries in sheep and a heavy yarding in cattle, mostly yeailincs. In sheep we quitted all useful lines, one jjen failing to reach owners' reserve. In cattle we had no difficulty in selling steeis, good yearlings and niae quality heifers, but cows were mostly turned out unsold. At Pongaraa— Ewes and lambs, shorn, 14s 6d to 15s Id; 2 tooth ewes and wethers, 13s to lis Id; grown steers 95s to 112s; 2 year steers 60s to 655; yearlings 25s to 37s 6d; small deef cows 75s .to 85s; dairy heifers, 40s to 60s; forward cows, 45s to 55?. At Eketahuna—Forward ewes 14s; 2 tooth wethers up to 14s; 2 year steers, 60s to 70s; yearlings, mixed, 30a; heifers, 25s to 30a; forward cows, 555; heifers, 35s to 40a; email pigs, 9a.

Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd, report:—At Palmerstou North, 08 Thursday, we bad a particularly large entry of cattle. Kidding was not as brisk as at last week's sale, and several linns were passed. Sales were effected in most oases prirately, and at tne end of the day only a few lots of female stock remained unsold. Every nen of sheep was quitted at goo.l prices.
