CLADSTONE.
(From Our Own Correspondent). Thursday. The tender of 'a Masterton contractor has been accepted for Mr W. Strang's new house at Olenside, the erection of which will start very shortly. Mr C. Beard, of Greytown, was the successful tenderer for the plumbing work and the construction of a septic tank. A fine draft of fat lambs to the number of 1,000 were sent away yesterday from J. Strang s Glenside property, consigned to the Gear Meat Co. _ X am glad to report that Mr Mold, who has been laid up with influenza, is progressing favourably towards recovery.
