BIDEFORD.
(From Our Own Correspondent). Thursday. The growth of the grass has been retarded by the drying winds that have prevailed for the last few days. Stock are looking remarkably well. Shearing is in full swing. A number of sheds have finished shearing, and report a heavy clip. There is a great shortage of good blade shearers; in fact, of farm labourers of all descriptions, and the right kind of man is much in demand. A sharp earthquake was experienced here on Saturday morning, about 11 25, and lasted for several seconds.
