PAHIaTUA STOCK SALE. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:— W« held our weekly Pahiatua stocK sale on Tuesday, when a larger entry than the advertised number came forward. The quality of the stock, particularly of the sheep, was good, and an unsatisfied demand still exists. Socue good salea were effected, one lot ot 300 woolly ewes 90 per cent, lambs making 275, the best price obtained locally 'cbis season. Other sheep sold well in comparison. CattJe made late values, and an improved demand seems to be establishing itself for steer cattlo. At the close of the sale most of the stock yarded had changed hands. We quote:—Two-tooth ewes 14s lOd, mixed 2-l;oofchs 14s 3d to 14a lid, 4 tooth maiden qnos 16s, empty ewes 12s lOd, 13s Id, and 13s 3d, ewes and lambs (all oounted) 9s to 9s 6d, ewes and lambs 275, owes in Inmfa 13a Gd, empty heifers 25s 5s and 355, springing heifers £2 17s Grl to £3 ss, yearlings £2 os, 29a, 37s 6r» and £2, 2 and 2 *{. -year Gteers £3 lVs Gd, 18 month steers £2 7a 6d, store cows 25s to 30s.
