VICTORIAN PURE FOODS BILL.
Reoeived December 13, 10.3 p.m. LONDON, December 13. The Proprietary /vrtiolea Sub-Seo-tion of the Clmmber of- Commerce resolved that a deputation should wait upon the Hon. J. W. Taverner, Agent-General for Victoria, and the Uoil, W. P. Reeves, High Cnmiiia. Hloner for New Zealand, to protest against the Victorian Pure Foods Bill and the proposed leginlation similar to the legislation in New Zeeland. It was resolved to recommend members to cease advertising in oolonial newspapers when the Bill is enforced requiring the declaration of formulas.

The Trades Disputes Bill passed through committee in tho House of Lords amended to ensure pioketing peacefully and . in a reasonable manner. THE EDUCATION BILL. Reoeived December 13, 10.3 p.m. LONDON, Deoembar 13. The House of Commons, by 416 votes to 107, disagreed with tho House of Lords' amendments to tile Eduoation Bill, after a heated debate. Received December 13, 10.15 p.m. LONDON, December 13. In the Ilonee of Commons, Mr J. Dillon championed the Eduoation Bill on behalf of tho toiling masses of Catholics who built schools, whereas the Duke of Norfolk and others, lepresontlng a small section of the English Catholics, were tho wreckers. The Nationalists, he said, were satisfied with th« Government's assurances regarding Catholic sobools. i LORD ROSEBERY ON A SINGLE CHAMBER. Reoeived Daoember 13, 9.33 a.m. LONDON, December 13.
