MASTERTON A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
GROUND COMMITTEE. The Ground Committee of the Mas terton A. and P. Association met oa Saturday. There \ were piesent:—« Meßsrs D. MoGregor, jar. (ohair man), R. Gray, B. Kayner, and J. D. Oruiokebank, An apology for absence was received from Mr J. 0. Cooper. , An application 'from the Masterton Rifle Volunteers for the use of the Showgrounds for the aunual encampment for the week commencing 29fch inst. was granted on the same terms as last year. Mr D. MoGregor and the Secretary were authorised to dispose of the grass on two acres at the Showgrounds. It was resolved to hold over the question of alterations to the new grandstand until the next meeting.
GENERAL COMMITTEE. A meeting of the General Committee was held in the afternoon, Mr R. Gray presiding. A list cf judges for the next Show was drawn up. A letter was received from Mr W. 0. Buchanan drawing attention to the present unsatisfactory conditions of trucking sheep at railway stations. It was deoided to forward a letter to the Minister of Railways and Mr A. W. Hogg, M.H.R., urging that the recommendations of Mr Buchanan be given effect to.
