SALE OF IRISH LINENS.

For u short lime, last evening, there was a gaslight display, in the Foresters' Hall, of the famous Irish linens, which are to be sold in Masterton by Mr ). W. Maokay, on behaif of Messrs Richards and Co., who have just arrived with their goods fromjtbe Continent. The sale will commence at eleven o'olook to-morrow morning, and will last for four days only. Although tbe goods were only shown for a limited time last evening, great interest was taken in the display, wbioh is tastefully arranged in tbe building. The walls on either side of tbe' building are artistically bung with French, Nottingham, and Scotch lace curtains, direot from the manufacturers, as well as carpets, rich in quality and of rare design. The whole of the end of the ball is taken up with a magnifioent collection of beautiful dress materials, silks, box silk blouses, linen blouses, all hand worked, while silk underskirts, and Japanese fand Surrab silks, and are laid out with pleasing effect. Costly linen tray oloths, hand worked, and a variety of other lines too numerous to mention, are included in the collection. There will be another gaslight display iu the Hall this evening.
