PROTECTING CANADIAN JOURNALS. Received November 21, 10 p.m. LONDON, November 21. Renter's Ottawa correspondent leports tbat Sir Wilfred Laurier, tbe Premier, has announced the inauguration of a policy for the protection of tbe Canadian Press against the American Yellow Press. He explained that shortly be will aoncede intulleotual preferences by granting British periodicals and newspaper cheaper postage in order to disseminate good sound literature in Canada giving tbe British settler in tbe western provinces more information regarding their old homes and families.
