OBITUARY.
WYBBRT REEVE, ACTOR.'
Received November 20, 8.9 a.m. LONDON, November 19.
The death is annoanoed of Wybert Reeve, the well kuowa actor. (Mr Wybort Reeve, who is well known in this colony, was born in London in g!831, and entered the dramatic profession at Bradford, Yorkshire, in 1849. In 1852 ho produced his first dramatic pieoe, a farce, entitled, "An Australian Hoax." Aa a young man Jbe won much fame as an eooentrio light comedian. Mr Reeve's first appearance in Wellington was made at the Theatre Royal in 1879 in his own drama, "George Geltb," and he made subsequent visits in 1885 and 1886—on the latter occasion having as members of his company Mr Charles Hollo flay and Misses Coustanoe and Alice Deorwyn—and produced those fine plays, "Diplomacy," "impulse," "For L r ve or Money," and "The Womin id White." Mr Reeve retired from the stage some years ago, and was afterwards lessee of the Theatre Royal, Adelaide.)
