OBSTRUCTING A CONSTABLE.
A CASE DISMISSED. By Telegraph—Press Association. DUNBDIN, November 20. At the Police Court, to-day, a case was heard in which a man named MoKny had been fined 40s for obstructing a constable when arresting another man.. Application was made subsequently to the Supreme Coutt and prohibition obtained on the' ground that McKay was justified in interfering, aa the avresting constable had no warrant on him. In dismissing the case the Magistrate said he regretted having to do so on mere technicality, but under the Criminal Code he ha'l practically no option, as it was provided that anyone executing a warrant or process must, have it on him, and produoe it if required.
