NEW ZEALAND EXHIBITION.

By Telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTOHUROH, November 15. To-day Mr HailJoaes mot the Ex bibition Commissioners, and the Chairman of the various Exhibition Committees for the purpose of discussing the position of affairs in regard to the management. The meeting was of an informal oharacter. Later Mr Hail-Jones entertained those present at lunch in the Ministerial apartments in the Exhibition. Thu general feeling amongst the Commissioners and Chairmen as a result of the meeting seemed to bel that the friction that has ocourred in the past was not likely to be repeated in the future. The proposed direct control by the Hon. HallJones with the Commissioners as an advisory board and Mr Munro as ohief executive officer, is regarded as entirely satisfactory, bpeaking to a reporter the Minister said that he believed that the difficulties of the past would not reour. He wonld probably be in Christchuroh during the greater purfc of the Exhibition period, and would exeroise a direct supervision over, management matters, aonsulting with the Commissioners when points of importance arose. There would be left no room for doubt as co who was at the head in regard to the control of the Exhibition, and there should be no hindrance in the way of carrying on the great undertaking in a manner worthy of its highly successful initiation. The Minister indicated that several minor matters would reoeive early attention. Amongst these will be the provision of seats in convenient positions to be used by visitors without a charge. At a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Exhibition, tonight, general satisfaction was expressed at the ohanges made in regard to management. Members stated that they expected mutters to work smoothly for the future.
