SEPARATION LAW. THE GOVERNMENT FIRM. Received November 15, 8 30 a.m. PARIS, November 14. The Chamber ot Deputies, by 416 votes to 163, expressed confidence that ttie firmness of M. Briand, Minister of Public Worship, would ensure the complete enforcement of the Separation Law, which provides for the return to the State of all real aud personal property derived from the State, and for the vesting of ecclesiastical property of all 'kinds in associations for the maintenance of public worship. M. Britind intimated that the Government would not resume relations with the Pope, even indirectly, but would show a conciliatory attitude. He warned the Right that unless its members followed the Pope's advice to keep quiet they would have to deal with a Government backed by all the forces of law.
