MaSTERTON STOCK SALE. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Masterton stock sale, held on Wednesday, as follows: —We had a good entry of cattle, but sheep came forward below advertised numbers. We experienced a good demand for bullocks, which sold readly at auotion, and steers of ail ages were also sought after. Wjtb the exoeption of a few dairy oows and heifers we made ah almost total olearanoe. Sheep were in good demand and sold in excess of vendors' anticipations. We qnote: —Cattle—3 and 4-year-old bullocks £5 3s to £5 14s 6d, 2)£-year steers £4 to £4 12s, mixed yearlings, good quality, £2 6s, others 30s to 345. Sheep—Butchers' ewes 13s, forward ewes lis lid, store ewes, woolly, 15a lOd, ewes and lambs 18s. Pigs— Weaners 13s.
PAHIATU* SIOOK SALE. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At our weekly Pahiatua T aale, on Tuesday, stook oame forward in considerable excess of advertised numbers, especially in respeot to sheep. Keen competition took plaoe for the latter, almost a total olearance being effected before the close of the sale. Cattle made late values. We quote:—Shorn ag*d ewes 12s 7d to 14s 3d, shorn 2-tootbs 13s Bd, shorn 2-tooth wethers 13s, woolly hoggets 17s 3d ; ewes and lambs 21s 9d, fat cows £4 2s, empty . heifers 395, 3 and 1-year steers £4 15s to £4 18e, weaners 200.
