TARANAKI PETROLEUM COMPANY.
By Telegrapli—Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, Nov. 14. The statutory meeting of the Tarauaki Petroleum Company, to-, day, V7RS attended by about 500 shareholders. The meeting was fairly lively at times. A motion was carried "That this meeting of shareholders considers it would be in the bnst interests of the Company-to withdraw from application the whole of the unallotted shares of the Cnmany, and that such shares shall not be open for application again to the public until at least 14 days' notice is given." Sixteen nominations were re I ceived for the directorate, and the 1 following were elected:— M. Fraser r 3,070, Jospeh Little 2.725, H. J. H. Okey 2,407, M. J. Jones 2,394, C. E. Bel'ringer 1,959, J, B. 'Roy 1,907, D. Berry 1,783. Messrs Berry, Jones aud Eraser were the provisional directors. Amongst the defeated candidates were Mr G. C. Fair, manager, and Mr D. Laing, late secretary. Great satisfaction is expressed with the result of the election.
