THE POPLAR GUARDIANS. ileceived November 12, 11,46 p.m. LONDON, November 12. Mr W. Crookes, addressing a mass meeting at Poplar, said that the man on top, namely, Mr John Burns, had played into the hands of the gnetny. The Poplar Guardians were engaged in a 'fight against privilege and monopoly, which could not be done without cost. The system initiated at Poplar would spread through the United Kingdom in a more or less degree.
