THE CAPE COLONY REBELLION.
RISING NOT CONSIDERED SERIOUS. Receivad November 12, 8.37 a.m. LONDON, November 11. The Gape Agent-General (Sir Thouiaa Fuller (thiuks the raid is of little political importance, aad that it will soon be suppressed. It is unlikely to reach the populated districts or the towns. Received November 12, 8.37 a.m. CAPETOWN, November 11. The Cape Government does not conpider the rebellion serious,though the inhabitants may possibly be misled by exaggerated reports of Fer reira's successes. The Dutch leaders in Capetown, including the Hon. J. 11. liofmeyr, advise the settlers to support the Government. Forty troopers Bnd scouts have been despatched by the Government to intercept the raid are, and a hundred and fifty Cape Mounted Rifles will start for Priska immediately.
STOKIES OP A RISING RIDICULED. .Received! November 12, 11.37 p.m. PRETORIA, Nov 12. Mr Smuts, interviewed at Pretoria, ridiculed the stories of a rising. He did not attaob any political importance to the incident. It was surprising that tftere hod not been a previous raid, considering the number of loafers that had reoently gone into the German territory. In view of the surroundings the raiders must be unotured near Upington or return to German territory. Received November 12, 11.28 p.m. LONDON, November 12. Sir Thomas Fuller, Agent-General for Cape Colony, interviewed, regarded tbe raid as the work of a handful of individuals bent on robbrey, after failing to get the foothold they desired in German territory.

The Natal ''Meroury, although disinollned to believe tbat Dntoh leaders anywhere are so fooliab as to contemplate a rising, considers that tbe incident may prejndioe the granting of extensive privileges under the Dew oonstifcution. FERREIRA INTIMIDATING FARMERS. FIREARMS AND AMMUNITION SEIZED. * Reooived November 12, 11.28 p.m. CAPETOWN, November 12. terreira, with ten followers, ih thirty miles north of Upington. He is. intimidating farmers, and has captured several horses, and additional firearms and ammunition were seized.
