S. PATRICK'S CHURCH.

YESTERDAY'S SERVICES. \ ■ After tbe 31 o'clock Mass at &. Patrick's Ohurcb, yesterday morning, Archbishop Redwood of Wellington administered the Saorament of Confirmation to fifty-three candidates. Prior to the administration of the Saorament the Arobbishup de\ livered a short sermon, during the course of which he explained tbe nature and effeots of the Saorament. The Arohoisbop was assisted in the neremony by the Very Rev.' Dean McKenna. At the evening service the Archbishop preached an eloquent sermon on "Grace" He explained that Grace wrs a supernatural gift without which no one oonld be saved. He dealt fully with the means of obtaining Grace, and tbe effeat it had. His Grace tbe Arahbishop also gave the Benediotion. There was a large congregation at both the mornipg and evening ser vices.
