MASTERTON STOCK SALE REfORTS.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., held their fortnightly sale at their Masterton yards, on Wednesday, when there was a fair entry of botn sheep and cattle. There was a good attendance of buyers, and all lines found purchasers under the hammer or privately. Shorn fat ewes sold.at 14s Id, shorn 2-tooth ewes and •wethers lis 9d, shorn 4 and 6-tooth wethers 13s Bd, woolly hoggets 16s sd, 2 and 3-year steers 755, yeailing and 18-month heifers 31s 6d to 33e, fat cow 6 85s, empty cows 40s, springing heifers-from 50s, store sows 28s to 50s, well grown slips 20s to 21s, others 13s to 14s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report on their Masterton stock sale yesterday as fellows:— The yarding was light in all olasses of stock, the catalogue being diminished by private sales during the week. All good quality lines made ready sales, inferior lots going out unsold. Fat wethers, 4-tootb, ranged from 15s to 15s 7d; shorn store ewes 10s 9d; fat cows, prime, £2 10a; 3 year steers, £4 8s; heifers, from £2 to £3. In pigs, slips made 17s, weaners lis to lis.
