AN AERONAUT'S ADVENTURE.
NEW YORK, November 2. Dr Thomas, an aeronaut, was about to alight after making a perilous ascent in Georgia, and was holding the rippingcord in one hand, when the balloon suddenly re-ascended a thousand feet. Dr Thomas climbed the cord inch by inch, ripped the gis envelope, and alighted safely, though he was dragged a considerable distance through entanglement of the cordage.
