YOUNG MAN DROWNED. By Telegraph—Press Association. lIOKITIKA, November 2. News was received by the steamer Jane Douglas, from Okura, of a fatal aooidont at the Junction o£ the Haast and Burke Kivers in South Westland, ou October 22nd, a young mat), named Geo. Adams, beiug drowned while attempting to cross when the rivers wore in flood. The body had not beau found on October 30th. The deceased was a native of Dunediu, about 24 years of age, and had been in the district two years, engaged iu prospecting.
