THE SHIPPING BILL.
Reoeived November 2, 30.43 p.m. LONDON, November 2. Mr Lloyd-George proposes a new amendment to the Shipping Bill to give the Board of Trade full powers over marine superintendents and shipping officers, and thus control the regulations. The shipping interests threaten to strenuously oppose the amendment. TRADES DISPUTES BILL. A STORMY SCENE. Received November 2, 10.3 p.m. LONDON, November 2. There was a Btormy soene in the House of (Jommons over Visoount OaStlereagh's motion, "That the Trade Disputes Bill do not apply to Ireland." I'he motion was negatived by 239 to 4. Mr S. H. Butcher deoiared that the Bill facilitated boycotting and intimidation, as when under the Land League's baneful tryanny the living were refused the neoessariea of life and the dead were denied coffins. Mr W.Delaney; It's a glanderous statement! . The interjections . were withdrawn under the Speaker's direction.
