WANGANUI SHOW.
*- . It is to be regretted that the prantioal support accorded the Mounted Infantry events when thay were included in the Agricultural Show, Wanganni, a couple of ago, did not warrant the Association placing similar events *on this year's programme. This fact was brought, home to us, says a Wanganui paper, when witnessing the Mounted Infantry competitions at the recent Uawke's Bay Show. 'Jibe that prize on that occasion was carried oft' by a section of the Feilding Mounted Infantry, under command of Sergeant Ranby. It was undoubtedly one of the prettiest exhibitions on the ground, the horses keeping an even line when being led over the fences, and that, too, at a break-neck pane, the Feilding men completing the course some 40 seconds ahead of ■their nearest opponents. The wheeling of the winning team was beautifully done. Sergt. Ran by holds quite a record of wins in Mounted Infantry events .on the East and West Coasts, as be accounted for both events] at this Show, anil carried oft' first honours at Feilding, .Palmerston, Masterton and Hawke's Bay Show?. Although there are no Mounted infantry events on this year's programme for the Wanganui Show there are several orber interestjag competitions, including ladies' and gent's driving, ladies' leaping competitions, pony leaping, pony racing, and bunters' competitions. Intending exhibitors are reminded that entries for all these events will close ou Saturday next, November ■3rd, at 9 p.m.
