Non-unionists are supporting the unionist's demands. MEETING OF BROKEN HILL MINERS. Received Ootober 29, 10.8 a.m. SYDNEY, Ootober 29. At the mass meeting of Broken Hill miners it was resolved to take a ballot on the question of demanding a conference with the Managers' Association regarding increased wages and shorter working bonrs. Speakers deolared that the manager trade the recent advance in wages in order to'avoid aJconfereHce. COMMONWEALTH REVENUE KMTUKNS. Received October 29, 10.17 a.m. MELBOURNE, Ootober 29. The Commonwealth quarter's revenue shows an increase of £342,0H0 over the receipts of the last corresponding quarter.

Received October 29, 10.17 a.m. MELBOURNE, Ootobe-29. Despite police warnings, Social ists persist el in holding a street meeting at Prahan, a suburb of Melhoutne. The police dispersed them, and arrested eight, including Tom Mann, and two women. All were re* !eased on bail. RAILWAY COLLISION. Received October 29, 10.17 a.m. SYDNEY, October 29. A mixed traiu collided with a mail train .standing at Molong Station. Ten persons were slightly injured. n SOUTH AUSTRALIAN HARVEST. Received October 29, 10.17 a.m. ADELAIDE, October 23. The Advertiser newspaper estimates the State's wheat harvest at 21,631,000 bushelf, an average of 11.88 bushels per acre. REDUCTION OP RAILWAY RATES. Reoeived October 29, 10.17 a.m. MELBOURNE, Ootober 29. Reductions of railway rates on agricultural produots have been made totalling £BO,OOO a year in addition to previous reductions amounting to £50,000. i HOT WEATHER IN NEW SOUTH WALES. Received Ootober 29, 9.25 p.m. SYDNEY, Ootober 29. The thermometer has been steadily mounting during the past few days. To-day it touched 92 in the shade in the oity. In some 'places in the country it registered much higher. Rain is badly wanted.
