OBITUARY.
MR JOHN STEWART. Mr John Stewart, an old and highly-respected resident of tbe Wairarapa, died at his residence, Dreyerton, ,on Thursday last. The deceased, who was in his 69th year, was a native of Argylesbire, Sootland, and came to the colony in tbe early days, and bud been in the Wairarapa some 40 years. The late Mr Stewart bad been an enthusiastic member ofs the Wairarapa Caledonian Society since its inception, and for ten years he was honorury piper to the Society. The deceased, who was unmarried, leaves two sisters, Mrs John Cameron, Opaki, and Mrs Adam Glasgow, to mourn their loss. The funera*. will take place to-morrow (Sunday), leaving Dreyerton at 2 o'clook, and reaohing Maaterton at 3.30 p.m.
