The New Zealanders state the green was the liveliest they have' played on since their arrival in Australia. Play genorally was of an even order. The New Zealanders were evidently more anonstomed to the length of the green than m yesterday's matob. They consider that with a little more practioe on this length of green they will be able to hold their own. Close results may be looked for in the mat3h Australia versus New Zealand. Received October 27, 1 a.m. MELBOURNE, October 26. The New Zealand bowlers were entertained by Mr Honry Skinner, President of the South Melbourne Cricket and Football Clubs, and Albert Park Bowlina Club, at 8 o'olook, to-night. Eight riuka engaged in a friendly match under brilliant electric light with the Albert Park Club. At 10 o'clock -Mr Skinner entertained 300 at a ohamjiagno supper. All the officials of the Howling Association wera present, also the presidents and other officials of the Metropolitan Clubs. It was a brilliant function. The Mayor of South Melbourne, in the course of a speech, said that bo recognised in Mr Wheeler, of the New Zealand team, a fellow Uendigonian. Mr Wheeler, in responding, said the New Zealundera wore travelling in the interests of sport. They would never forget the unique welcome extended to them by the Albert Park Club. All were delighted with the experience of playing bowls by electric light. Play »vaß resumed at 10.45 o'clock. The Now Zealand team will leave for Ballarat early in the morning en route to Adelaide.
