Messrs Cunynghamo aud Atkinson, officials in the Homo Office, who were deputed to enquire into the causes of the recent Courrieres mining disaster in France, asoribe it to a formidable dust explosion They recommend watering to prevent the accumulation of dry coal-dust in roads aud workings in English mines.
