STRIKERS AND POLICE.

A SERIOUS CONFLICT. THREE STRIKERS KILLED. Reoeived Ootober 10, 8.30 a.m. OTTAWA, Ootober 9. Strikers tried to prevent the working of the lumber mills at Buckingham, near Ottawa. The police fired on the men, killing three and wounding eleven.
