THE LAND Bill.
By Telegraph—Press Association. ° ASHBURION October 6. At a meeting, to-day, to consider tbe Land Bill the following resolution was unanimously passed: "That inasmuch as the provisions of the Land Bill, now before Parliament would, if they became law, virtually revolutionise the existing land system, this meeting is strongly of opinion that in justice to the inhabitants of the colony, and more particularly of the farminc community, whose interests are vitally affected by tne measure, the Bill ought not to be further proceeded with during tbe present session of Parliament, go that the electors may, during the recess, have an opportunity of fully considering and discussing the Bill and expressing a matured opinion as to the advisability of its becoming law or otherwise."
