MASTERTON RACING CLUB.

MEETING OF STEWARDS. The monthly meeting of the Stewards of the Masterton Rauiug Club was held on Saturday afternoon. There were presunt—Messrs C. F. Vallauce (chairman), J. Cress, R. Buiok, O. H. Smith, W. lorne, A. Reside, W. Piatt, A. J. Welch, W D. Watson, D. Caselberc, D. MoLacnlan, and A. 0. Filmor. Messrs Harding and Barry, Christchurch, wrote offering to supply a double event totalisator tor the coming meeting. It was deoided to decline the offer. A letter was received from the Railway Department stating that the train arrangements for the coining meeting would be the same as those for tho last meeting. It was deoided to accept the offer of Mr Heihana Boyes to supply a string band for the next meeting on the usual terms. The following offioials were appointed for the approaching meeting: —Stewards to watch the racing, Messrs A. G. Pilmer and R. Buick; horses out, Messrs D. Caselbßrg, J. Cress and A. J. Welch; horses in, Messrs D. McLaoblon, A. Buick and 0. B. tsmith; totalisator steward, Mr W. Piatt; supervisors for outside gates, Messrs A. Reside and D. Caselberg; paddock stewards to see that notices are correctly recorded, Messrs C. A. Pownall and W. lorns; assistant clerk of scales, Mr W. Cooper. One new member was elected.
