CARLTON CLUB. The Carlton Club opened the season, yesterday, with a match Married v. Single. An innings each was completed. The matob will be continued next Thursday. A special general meeting of the Carlton Club was held in the Occidental Hotel, last evening. Mr W. Piatt (Vice-President) presided over a very good attendance of members. Tho followinE were eleotel as members:—Messrs A. R. Aymes, A. J. Giddings aud J. Kitchener. It was decided to enter two senior teams this season (A and B). The following were elected as delegates to the M.T.O.A.:—Messrs E. Collinge, W. R. Boyd, E. Welob, P. P. Welch. A Hearty vote of thanks was passed to Messrs J. O'Meara aud A. C, Major, Patron and VicePresident of'the Club, lespectively, for donations to tne funds of the Club. Mr T. Kemble donated a trophy for competition, and Whs accorded a hearty vote of thanks. Messrs E. Collinge and E. Weloh were elected a committee to inspect the material of the Club and obtain new ratiterial when required. A vote of thanks was accorded to the Chairman, and tj Mr J. O'Meara for tho uso of the room.
