SYDNEY, October 4. After her victory in the Craven Plate Solution was purchased by Sir Rupert Clarke for four thousand guineas, subject to veterinary inspection. Reoeived October 4, 11.20 p.m. SYDNEY, October 4. The sale ot Solution is "off." Soobie, Sir Rupert Clarke's trainer, the mare, and said he did not like her for some unexplained reason. She is strongly favoured in the betting for the Melbourne Cup to-day. After 600 to 100 was taken, 1000 to 200 was closed with nothing else was asked for. While the mare is all right she ia lfkely to paralyse speculation on the race.
