EXTENSION OB' COMMERCE COMMITTEE'S REPORT. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, October 2. In the House .of Representatives, yesterday, the Chairman of the Extension of Commerce Committee presented the Committee's report ou the treaty, to the effect that the Committee, while recognising the desirability of establishing reciprocal arrangements with Australia, are unaMe to recorarameud the JJouao to ratify the reciprocity treaty handed to it for investigation, because, in their opinion, the advan. tagea offered are outweighed by the sacrifices imposed. On the motion of the Premier, consideration of the report was deferred until next sitting day, the debate to be opened at 7.30 p.m.
