Prom Oar Own Oonespondent. Wednesday. The lambing season is now over, and farmers are well satisfied with results. Grass is plentiful, and all stook are looking remarkably well. A large area of land has been ploughed tola spring, and if the weather is favourable for rape cropping the fat lamb trade should be a xeoord one for the district. A ball will be held on October sth, In aid of the painting fund of the Oatbolio Ohurob. There is every promise of a large number of people being present. Mr N. O'Kane, the secretary, is working hard to assure suooess. Miss O'Malley, of Maeterton, will supply the music, The friends of Master George Oliver, youngest son of Mr J. Oliver, drover, of Masterton, will regret to hear that he is seriously ill, and no hope ia entertained for his recovery.
