FOOTBALL.
A match was played on the Showgrounds, yesterday afternoon, between teams representing the Master ton and Eketahuna Friendly Societies. The game, which lesulled in a win for Masterton by nine pointH to three points, was a fairly even one, and at times some good football was witnessed. The visitors were stronger in the forward division than tbe local players, nut the home team were superior in baok play. Kyle, Attwood and J. G'Leary scored a try each for the winners, while Prendeville scored for Eketahuna.
