"GENERAL POLITICAL NONSENSE." Received September 27, 9.28 p.m. BERLJN, Saptemher 27. At the Mannheim Oongieas Herr iiebel stated that the Socialists would Dot provoke a revolution, but must regard a strike en masse as a weapon to be kept in reserve for the defence of existing rights. If a Government tried to v deprive the workersjof the franchise or right of coalition a general strike would be justifiable. The chairman of the general com mittee of the Trades Unions characterised a political strike as "general politioal nonsense."
