METHODIST CHURCH.
SOCIAL GATHERING. A sooial gathering iu oonneotion with the Masterton Methodist Uhuroh was held in the school-room last evening. The school-room was filled. The Rev. J. N. Buttle and Messrs A. Donald and 0. E. Daniell delivered short addresses on the work that was being done in oonneotion with the Ohuroh and Sunday Sohool. The work of the Kuripuni Sunday Sohool was referred fco by Mr Burton in a short address < Musioal items were given by Mesdames Edwards and Redman, Miss N. Daniell, and Messrs T. JR. Mannell, J. Williams, S. Ralph, W. Retter, an 3 E. J. Chilton. The accompaniments were played by Mr H. Inns. Several anthems we>e also rendered by the ohoir. Refreshments were provided by the ladies of the congregation.
