HOCKEY.
A match is to be played on the Sohoolßrounds on Thursday next be tween members of the Raupo Ladies 1 Hockey Club and a team of men in skirts. The men are to be further handicapped by only being allowed to use one hand to the hookey sticks in tho first spell, and with broomsticks or walking-sticks in the second spell. A collection is to be taken in aid of the ground fund, and as the ground has been freely placed at the -disposal of hockeyites during |the past season, it is to be hoped they will respond liberally. The ladies are to be entertained at afternoon tea at MiHfl Thomas' after tho match by the men. Following are the teams: —Raupos: Misses M. Donald, E. Carpenter, F. Berriman, L. Barnett, M. SpacKman, M. Moore, B. Easlhope, S. Tildesley, E. Carmiobael, V. Carpenter, M. Winteringham. Men's team: Messrs Richards, Jewiss, Clarkson, Thynne, Williams, Burrows, L. Danielle, Tooby, L. Nicol, J. Nicol, Lawjcence.
