HOME RULE.
SPEECH BY MR REDMOND,
Received September 24, 9.42 p.m. LONDON, September 24. Mr John Redmond, speaking at Limerick, com plained that the present Government were uuablo to govern Ireland according to Irish ideas. He declared that neither he nor the Irish party were in any sense responsible for the ''make shift" administrative Home Rule Government. He meant to propose nest session that the Irish accept nothing short of complete Home Rule—meaning a Parliament freely elected with an executive responsible to it. When the Government's measure was produced it should bo sacmitted to the Irish National Convention. His influence would be used to kidiice the Irish to reject any proposals tending to endanger tbe prestige and power of the Irish National Farty or weaken or disrupt the national movement. It was imperative to preserve a united powerful national organisation until full national freeoom had been obtained.
