MISS TITTELL BRUNE.
Miss Tittell Brune, whose season of two nights is announced to commence at the Town Hall, Masterton, on Thursday next with "Dorothy Vernon," is a diamatio star so well and favourably known throughout New Zealand that the success of her return visit is practically a foregone conclusion. Referring to the Melbourne production of the piece a contemporary says:—• "Mr Paul Kest'er's dramatisation of Mr Charles Major's nocel "Dorothy Vernon of Haddon Halll" fairly roeks with romantic, restless melodrama of (he "Cape and Sword" school. Novelist and playwright have stood shoulder to Bhoulder, and given plenty ®uf smart dialogue, heroic sentiment, hair breadth escapes, concealment by exchange of costumes, and a neverhalting for-a-moment-to-get - breathstory. The crowded audience at His Majesty's Theatre on Saturday evening rereiled in all the glittering wonders, the whirr and noise of the action, all of which earned a rich harvest of applause, and hardly ever ceases emphasising the popular verdict of success." The Masterton season is limited to 2 nights. The Box Plan is now on view at Mr Holling's.
