TRUST LANDS TRUST.
MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Mas-tei-ton Trust Lands Trustees was held last evening. There were present—Messrs 0. E. Danieil (chairman), T. Wagg, J. A. Renall, T. B. Miohell, and E. Feist. The Treasurer reported a credit balance in the bank of k JE6I7 8a Bd. The Town Glerk'and the Masterton Munioipal Fire Brigade wrote thanking the Trustees for grants towards the Public Library and the Fire Brigade, respectively. The Town Clerk wrute agreeing to the terms offered by the Trustees for connecting the Fire Brigade Station with the Borough drainage system. The Masterton Permanent Investment and Building Sooiety wrote notifying tne appointment of Mr J. B. Keith as their valuer with reference to the lease of part town acre 89, whioh expires on December 19th next. Ihe secretary (Mr A. J. Hathaway) was appointed to act as vainer on behalf of the Trustees. Mr Danieil mentioned that, through an oversight on the part of somebody, no application had been made by the. Committee in connection with the agricultural classes at the District High School for a special grant towards further improving the land used as an agricultural gar len. fie knew that the money was wanted, and he moved that half the cost of u tool house and glass-house, to be erected inside the agricultural plot, be provided; the sum to be given not to exueed £25. The motion was carried.
Accounts amounting to £933 10s, including £BOO due to the Wellington Harbour Board on the Town Hall, and £53 6s 8d in grants, were passed for payment.
