John Sweeney, who was arrested on warrant in ftlasterton on Wednesday, on a charge of having used obscene language in Wellington on July 16tb, was remanded to appear in Wellington. / A young girl was charged, on ce- \ mand, with having stolen a ring, valued at £5, the property of E. D. Maokersey, between September 3rd and 12tb, 1906. Accused was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon. Mr 0. A. Pownall appeared for the accused.
