COOK'S PICTURES.
On Thursday, at tbe Town Hall, (Jook'B Pictures will be shown. The programme will embrace all phrases of the animated picture art, presenting comedy, sensationalism, and nathos, while a number of films depicting street life in New Zealand's principal cities will be shown. Criticising tbe programme, tbeOtago Daily Times of August 28th says:— "The films are very life-like. This ontertainment is with confidence commended to all lovers of picture shows. There is uo taint of vulgarity in it, and none of the films are either painful or brutal. It is an entertainment to whioh children and young and old people can be taken with entire confidence. Mr Wynn sings several illustrated songs with striking effect."
