Jtsy Telegraph—Press Association. Reaeived September 5, 8.50 a.m. LONDON, September 4. Referring to reuent cricket rumours, Mr Francis Eden Laoey, Secretary to the Marylebone Cricket Olub, states that the club baa neither asked nor sounded anybody relative to going to .Australia. Owing to an influential Australian request to the Marylebone Olub to reconsider its decision not to send out a team to Austialia, the president baa summoned a special meeting of the committee for Friday. Mr Laoey adds that the club's attitude is apparently unchanged, and the prospeotn of its sending a team to Australia this year are no brighter. It is reported that Jackson is being strongly pressed to take out a team. Several prominent players have been sounded. Hay ward, it is stated, is willing to bo one of the team. >■ Reoeived September 5, 10.22 a.m. SYDENF. Septembers. The speolal meeting of the Marylebone Cricket Club is due to a request by the Premier made through Lord Jersey.
