CARLTON CRICKET CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING

Tha unnual meeting of the members of the Carlton Cricket Club was held last' evening. Mr W. Piatt occupied the chaii, and there were about twenty members present. The following now trembers were elected—Messrs B. Welch, W. E. Weloh, W. Bannister, J. Williams, J. Longstaff, R. E. Howell, D. Brown* H. Edgecombe, W. Iggulden, B. Boyd, Tarr. The annual report, whioh baa already been published in the Age, was adopted on tbe motion of the Chairman, ssoonded by Mr E, ColJinge. The resignation of Mr K. Welch, as a member, was aooepted with regret. ' Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follow—Patron, Mr J. O'Meara; President, Mr A. J. Hathaway; Vice-Presidents, Messrs W. Piatt, J. Wiokens, senr., J. Dixon, J. Welch, jnr,, A. C. Major, W. J. Welch, W. Eagle, J. Coradine, J. B. Hull, B. Ivesou, E. Collier, 1-4. E. Howell, A.Henderson, W. Cragg, E. Collinge, E. Nops, J. Hessey, and Dr. Cook; Club Captain, Mr Fi. Welch; Vice-Oaptain l MrF. P. Welch; Hon. Auditor, Mr A. J. Hathaway; Hon. Treasurer, Mr F. P. Weloh; Hon. Secretary, Mr T. Flaws; General Committee, Mossra A. G. Leavey, J. Wiokens, T. Higgs, W. Boyd, A. Congdon; Seleotion Committee. Messrs A. G. Leavey, W. Boyd, J Waters, E. Collinge and E. Welch., The subscriptions for the ensuing season were fixed at 10a 6d for seniors, and 5s for members under 18 years of age. Mr W. Piatt donated a gold medal for the most improved junior during the ensuing season. A hearty vote of thanks was acoorded to Mr Piatt. * Tbe question cf entering teams for competition was left over till the next meeting. Mr E. Weloh donated a bat for the best average in senior and club matches. Mr Weloh was acoorded a heary vote of thanks. Eulogistio reference was made to the services rendered to tbe Club by Mr T. Flaws, the Secretary. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to him. Special referenoe was also rr.ade to the manner in which Mr E. Weloh had worked for the Club during tbe past three years.
