THE NAVAL AGREEMENT.

Received August 30, 10.17 p.m. LONDON, August 30. The paper believes' that there is no foundation for the saying that Captain Oresswell's scheme was peremptorily and contemptuously rejected. The report of the Committee of Imperial Defence em bodied merely a friendly opinion given solely because the Commonwealth solicited it.
