BAZAAR AND ART UNION.
"GLIMPSES OF FAIRY GLADES." Something n«w is promised as the main attraction at the forthcoming Band, Fire Brigade, and Volunteer Bazaar and Art Union, which will cummence next Monday, September 3rd. A full dress rehearsal of the programme for the first three nights was held in the Town Hall, last evening, and everything went off without a hitnh. The programme, entitled, "Glimpses of Fairy Glades," opens with a very pretty oborus by over twenty children. This is followed by the entrance of the Fairy Queen, with twelve little fairy mites, who perform a pretty dance. A clever little artist, Miss Clematis Oonnop, then performs a skirt dance. A snow ballet, performed by eight young ladles, all dressed in white, is another attractive item. Then follows a charming little dance, "Gcring Thro' the Eye," performed by eight small girls. The "Rose Gavotte," another danoe performed by eight young ladies, was also well done. The next item is a vooal one, entitled, "Escuditiana," and should prove one of the moat attractive. The programme concludes with a coronation ceremony and a grand tableau. Mrs Oonnop, the instructress, has spared no pains in teaching the fancy dancing, and the suouefisful rehearsal, last evening, must have been highly satisfactory to her. The limelight ef F eots will be in charge of Mr S. Check.
